Skyline 02:03
Where do you go? When the place you lay your head is your home The place that you were raised is not the same The faces and the names have all changed I want you to stay and I need you to stay Where the skyline isn't mine Things they always change over time I always come back but never stay There's nothing for me here anyway I want you to stay and I need you to stay
2.
Bloodlines 03:08
What makes you think we’re not the same Who led you to place all of the blame On someone’s colour that you’ve never seen What makes you better, tell us the truth We need more than violence as the proof Can’t back it up that’s how it’s always been I don’t understand the lies you’ve built Cut any arm and the blood that’s spilled Bleeds red no matter who it is Does it make you feel more like a man To hate someone from another land Ignorance has always held us back Everyone’s the fucking same Privilege is the real face of the game Spread lies, fear and hate without recourse I don’t understand the lies you’ve built Cut any arm and the blood that’s spilled Bleeds red no matter who it is Does this hate, burn you up inside Ignorance is bliss and you believe all of their lies What makes you, so afraid in life Can't hate yourself, and can't deny, your bullshit sense of pride I don’t understand the lies you’ve built Cut any arm and the blood that’s spilled Bleeds red no matter who it is No matter where it is
3.
Heaven 02:15
We all want to get to heaven But we’re all afraid to die We all want to get to heaven What if it’s all a lie? According to statistics I’m over halfway done Truth be told like a lot us I didn’t think I’d live this long We want to get to heaven But we’re all afraid to die Believe there’s something out there But what if it’s all a lie Not always in a straight line But I’ve made it here this far There’s no way out no second act And then time comes for us all We want to get to heaven But we’re all afraid to die Believe there’s something out there But what if it’s all a lie We want to get to heaven But we’re all afraid to die Believe there’s something out there That we don’t even question why Don’t question why We want to get to heaven But we’re all afraid to die You can believe there’s something out there But don’t even question why Don’t question why!
4.
Sometimes I dream of being anyone but me Looking at the strangers face staring back at me In the dream I am another man Forgetting all I was forgetting who I am There is no hill that never ends It goes and goes up high my friend And if you make it to the other side Don’t look back and just be thankful you’re alive The choices made, all the mistakes, the time I gave Knowing I’m the one, the one, the one I had to save And I can’t trust the person staring back me I’m not the person that everybody sees There is no hill that never ends It goes and goes up high my friend And if you make it to the other side Don’t look back and just be thankful you’re alive I look in the mirror and it all just falls apart When all I see is just a mask playing a part That mask is mine and I’m smiling through it all Still holding on because I just can’t let it fall
5.
Better World 03:24
I lost my resistance, making room for a relapse, much needed, again You’re too mindful, ALL your worries start to overwhelm We can explode, fools focus, lost in everything Wasted years on fears I forgot Crash course in momentum, new desire intention to Make me a better world again Broken thoughts go Reseed to furnish you Wasted years on fears I forgot Onward move! Everyday I remind myself to Rethink - Use Turn attention to everything wanted Now we’re ready to see this ALL our wonder turns off overwhelm We won’t explode New focus The I’s in everything Losing fears of years of time gone Codified are conventions New desire intention to Make me a better world again Broken thoughts go Reseed to furnish you Dropping years of fears of time gone Onward move! Everyday I remind myself to Rethink - Use. Turn attention to everything wanted My gnosis is already built in Come pull me out of you! Memory glues ALL scenes before you I stopped trying to define you Got wise to the lies of misery Now I’m taking my head back To reset, to reason, for me Images now, clear path before you I stopped trying to define you To reset, to reason, for me I stopped trying to define you
6.
SCCS 02:26
When we’re together it’s never wrong In this together and there’s nothing quite as strong Protect each other when we fall Our backs against the wall, stronger than them all I don’t want anybody else Across the world with the windows down Music playing everyday in this long forgotten town No destination no place too far When all is said and done, just show them all our scars I don’t want anybody else
7.
Angry Man 03:17
I'm still an angry man but I don't want to be Sometimes the rage it just comes out of me But I'll be alone so one can see That I’m not the man that I want to be But I'll disappear again and settle down Plant my feet firmly down, down on the ground You'll never find me, you'll never see And I'll stay the man you think that I can be But it’s not your fault it's not this town I'll still be searching for where I’m bound But I'll disappear again and settle down Plant my feet firmly down, down on the ground
8.
Dedicated To 01:54
Running down a dream Something I learned today Cover me up and you can't bring me down Cold feelings and when the doves cry I’m out of step with the chesterfield kings Dedicated to Walk the line and sitting in the waiting room Prototypes and now I'm dancing on my own You’re preaching to the converted With the sun still shining over the James Dedicated To I ain’t never satisfied, living on the moon Nailbiter and get me outta my head What will remain, I just want to hear the simple things It's night like these, don’t go! Dedicated to
9.
Behind it, you edit, you sound so smart Lie to them, lie to yourself, your brain not your heart Be real, own up You are a fake I want you to say it Say it to my face Sorry I’m an asshole but you knew that Why’s it so surprising what did you expect? Be real own up You are a fake I want you to say it Say it to my face How many friends will it take before you learn? Take your fingers off the keys Stop staring at the screen Look at the all the damage you've done Have you ever made someone cry? At your words, there’s no reply Safe at home, you're nothing but a joke Malicious intent with no regard Look me in the eyes Don't cower in the dark Nice knowing you my friend Were words I never said But by now we know the end Say it to my face
10.
It’s the end of the night and I'm all alone No one around but I hear The constant chatter Looking up to grey skies Listening to the noise Walking around I don't see Anyone I know The lights are so bright to my eyes My mind won't follow Looking around for the key Lit up like a diamond The window over to the sea But I'm tied and I'm bound Looking up to grey skies Listening to the noise Words written in to my skin A constant reminder Of people and places I've seen Now that I've found her Reminder
11.
Last Call 03:28
Last call for what has to be said Last chance before the night ends And the day breaks When the sun comes out The feelings may change The truth, half-truths, or flat out lies What has to be said will be hidden again So drink up and speak your mind Confused Looking around Walking down in circles And the cowardice The late night regret Couldn’t see it coming The truth, half-truths, or flat out lies What has to be said will be hidden again So drink up and speak your mind Honesty sight unseen You’re the only one who knows what’s real Like the mornings hazy view I can’t separate, separate the truth Honesty sight unseen You’re the only one who knows what’s real Like the mornings hazy view I can’t separate the truth
12.
Acetylene 03:11
How did I become so cold Pushed you away with just one glance No second thought, no second chance Light me up like that acetylene Torch you turned on for you and for me So bright to my eyes that I couldn’t see That you were always there for me You were there when I came back You held me close, you never asked Told me everything would be okay And I believed you on that day When you feel weak I'll be your strength And if you're lost I'll light the way I'll offer hope when you're in doubt Won't let you burn up or burn out
13.
The timing wasn’t right Is it us or in my mind I’ve been here before And I don’t want to anymore For what it’s worth Taken in stride My love is like a virus And I don’t want to make you cry Well I’ve never been too good And no you’re not a fucking answer I used to be a better person But now I’m falling down again Passing time, living in my mind Give it a year, and I’ll be fine Killing time, really in my mind Give it a year, I’ll be fine Falling, I’m falling, I’m falling again Only pretending to reach out my hand This isn’t what I want And this can’t be what you need Holding you tight But I still can’t sleep at night
