GOOBERFEST - THE CD & ZINE

Gordon James MacKenzie is an award-winning photographer with a Masters in Fine Art from DJCAD and a 25+ year portfolio. A creative collaborator and dear friend since long before the conception of MTAT, he has been one of the few constants in my life. Gordon is a proud single father of three beautiful children; he's genuinely one of the good ones.

His work has been published everywhere, from Italian Vogue to the sleeves of Fat Wreck Chords releases. An exhibition of his work is currently on display at Rad Apples. Gordon was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer a few years ago, and, heartbreakingly, all treatments have been unsuccessful. His condition is now terminal.

As one of my oldest friends, having first held hands on the first day of Primary 2, the prospect of life without Gordon is scary, but even more so for his children, family and loved ones. Gordon's favourite holiday destination on earth is Italy. We're hoping to raise enough funds to send him and the three kids on holiday one last time, while they can still all travel together.

HUGE THANKS to all the bands, artists and cowpunk family for allowing me permission to use their songs. I curated this little collection with Gordon in mind and every act on here has been affected and touched by Gordon throughout our lives together.

The CD & Zine is on ***PREORDER*** and will be shipped as soon as they arrive with us at Cowpunk HQ, likely in around 4 weeks' time. We thank everyone for their patience in this regard and can't adequately express the depths of gratitude we hold.

The zine features artwork from Gordon and new words and commentary from myself. Full liner notes will be included alongside a whole bunch of new stories and reflections. A digital version of the zine will go online in due course.
